depression

so.....im here its 8:58pm here in dallas, im writing if you have depression its because of lack of stimulation in the brain, even when there is stimulation going around, football games, going to a party its all in the nuerotransmitters errors, they don't produce enough of dopamine and serotonin, and it results in lack of normal function....

so....i've read about ECT, and it does look like it works, but its an old barbaric method and it screws up the mind's memories and ability to feel certain feelings, there was a post here on babble of someone who got the shock treatment, said it erased some of the feelings that where linked to memories.....really they need to find another stimulation jump starter other than ect....there's deep brain stimulation, and Vagus nerve stimulation.....but there fairly new and not much recorded data about success rates....

so.....out of all this shock, depression talk, i just want to talk about things that can be done at home, first there is tv stimulation, when people watch maybe shows they enjoy, that causes dopamine release and serotonin, there's two thingsto add to that, coffee, or wine.....but in my opionion coffee is better because wine is more of relaxation and it can slow down the transmission in the brain....
another is getting music going, and looking at old pictures of family, it will bring back the memories, i do it alot, ill sit and open a big book of old family pictures....at night, and just go through them....yet you have to have the brain stimulated to do it, when i am in depression pits i have NO energy or motivation basically to do anything....everything looks dead and grey...its the nerotrasmitter error, not enough is getting in the synapse....you know i wished you could just go buy dexedrine at the store.....it would make the whole world so much easier....but there's idiots including me who would misuse it, its the amphetamine stimulation that brings pleasure, and when its used over and over it screws the moods up.... and cause more health problems, but the only things i know are coffee, energy supplements, SAM-E, st. johns wort which really is not effective at all, B6 and B12....are sources of energy, and if you have carbohydrates and sugar in the blood it makes it much easier to feel better....but the severe cases, that nothing works, the only thing i can think is through spirituality through belief in jesus christ, to remove it, and it makes me mad all the times i've prayed and nothing, its been that way for years now, and it seems like the sh*tt**st place to be on the planet....but somehow you can retrain the brain, there's omething called biofeedback, and also nuerofeedback....it actually teaches a person to release their own nuerotransmitters, having control over the mood...i would love to learn this but its expensive all the things they charge for it.....still you can do it on your own, during meditation, when go into a deep relaxed state, similar to hypnosis, and tap into the brains functions, and keep saying to release the mood, and feel postive, i've done techiques where i said over and over again to release serotonin and dopamine, it doesnt work, you have to visulize something, like being in a sunny beach, memories, or visulize the feeling that things are going to get better.....well all this vain advice is on my personal experice, and i would really like to hear other people's views on depression and treatment, this is a broad topic but i wanted to start another talk discussion about it....
