My Doc prescribe it to me first in 2005... Was at 2 mg day but had to increase until I reach 8 mg who is the maximum dose for anxiety... After I was take in charge by a PDoc who RX it... Like I wrote, was able to be on a low dose of Valium and even 1 month free of benzo back in 2007...and a part of 2008... Put on Xanax after an Effexor xr trial fail...withdrawal the Xanax and return on low dose or Valium until the summer of 2009 when panic disorder start again...
It's a high dose but I reduce it to 7 mg last year... when I was on the Xanax only in the summer of 2008 I reach 12 mg day... Was sent to the hospital to detox... And rapidly return on a low dose of Valium...
My tolerance to the sedative, anxiolytics and muscle relaxant effect is high... We try some off label meds to potentiate the effect of the benzo and reduce my dose, lyrica, neurontin; topamax, nothing really work to help the anxiety...
The only one med who make me able to cut by half my benzo intake was the Nardil... But I had bad hypotension orthostaric on it and wasn't able to manage that side effects properly...
