Agomelatine (Valdoxan) vs. Wellbutrin

Posted by vanvog on May 12, 2013, at 8:02:31

Has someone tried Agomelatine (Valdoxan) and Wellbutrin, how do they compare?

I understand they are not very alike in terms of mechanisms of action but the DA effect most people discribe sounds similar. Some people say Valdoxan is much weaker than Welly, sort of the Buspar of ADs.

I'm already on Parnate (120mg/day) so I guess a mild add-on won't do much if anything for me and I have the liver risk from Parnate, don't need additional liver problems from Valdoxan, but still it's something I would like to look into before I make a decision.

The positive effect on sleep sounds very intriguing as I'm suffering from the usual alternating over-/undersleeping, insomnia and REM issues of Parnate.
