If you're current medication is successfully treating your condition and the only side-effect is tinnitus, I'd consider that a blessing. There are potentially worse debilitations... unforeseen debilitations that can come with other medications. I'm fairly certain that I've had (undiagnosed) tinnitus for 20 years, and it's never really bothered me. I'm having some right now, as a matter of fact, and you don't see me complaining.
