Hi Eric.

Prazosin feels like a powerful and clean antidepressant. For me, it is not a drug that resolves anxiety in such a way as to allow for residual depression. It is the depression that remits. Of course, the anxiety that is integral or secondary to depression resolves as well.

I would be very interested to see how someone who has GAD without depression would respond to prazosin. People who have PTSD are reported to experience a reduction in depression with it. Please note that I am not taking prazosin as monotherapy. My recent attempt to discontinue Abilify while taking prazosin was unsuccessful. It resulted in a return to a more severe state of depression.

Currently:

Parnate 80 mg
nortriptyline 150 mg
Lamictal 200 mg
lithium 300 mg
prazosin 12 mg
minocycline 200 mg
