As far as I know, modafinil is one of the more benign meds on the market. I was on it for years without any sort of risks or side effects.

Each person is different though. Depending on things we don't know, such as underlying immune system dysregulation, intestinal dysregulation, hormonal dysregulation, accumulated toxicity, a person could react bizarrely to an otherwise benign substance.

If you get skin conditions from modafinil, that to me does not point a finger at modafinil, but rather points a finger at something else, it just so happens that whatever that something else is, modafinil highlights it. No matter, if a med is problematic for someone, and we may never know why it is, they probably shouldn't take it unless the benefits they receive outweigh the problems.
