Hi John,
Glad to hear you're trying something new.
The last "new" med I tried was lithium; I was apprehensive, but decided NOT to look at reviews and side effects online. As it turned out, I was pleasantly surprised and it turned out to be a great addition to my regimen.
So, perhaps approaching it without any preconceived ideas or judgements would be helpful (kind of like seeing a movie without seeing the trailer, if that makes sense).
