*sigh* the dose of 0.1 or 0.2 mgs that was in each spray of the ketamine didn't make sense, but thats what the pharmacy was telling me. i finally got to sit down with the owner/pharmacist today to talk about some things that might be able to help me, and he finally made the dose i was on clear. the ketamine is concentrated at 50mgs per milliliter. and there is 0.2milliliters in each spray. so, it turns out that i am indeed getting the amount of ketamine that is being used in trials for ketamine.
i told him i might not be seeing the psychiatrist that prescribed it anymore because of financial issues I'm having and i said i was thinking about figuring out a way to make sure i am getting enough ketamine in my system. he said to spray it under my tongue, that this would be about equal to an injection of it.
also, he made me feel less crazy for thinking that the meds i've taken have had longterm effects on me. he seems to be very smart and he actually uses what he was taught in medical school, unlike the doctors and psychiatrists i have been to. he is treating my situation just like I'm a patient of his and he's going to try researching something that might just help me.
i'm just glad that he made sense out of many of the weird side effects I've had from meds. he explained to me what mechanism the meds can take to cause these problems. which i had researched much of it and understood it somewhat, but it did make me feel a bit better to have a professional like him see just how this really is possible.
