> How long does it take for lamictal to work? I used the starter package then up to 200 mg and am now on 300 mg. It doesn't seem to be doing anything for me. My pdoc prescribed it to help with depression and possible BPII. I'm also taking remeron, 30 mg., klonipin, 3 mg., zyprexa, 5-10 mg. as needed.

Did you experience a temporary improvement early in treatment with Lamictal?

It is always to speak with certainty about such things, but I would say that if you have been on 300 mg of Lamictal for more than three weeks, that should be enough time to evaluate its value. You might want to get a blood level just to make sure that you are taking enough. Most people respond to 200 mg.

Your dosage of Remeron might be too low. It is so rare that people go as high as 90 mg. One should attempt to go to at least 45 mg before giving up on Remeron.
