Unfortunately it has been a wonderful medication for me so I am worried to try something different. Has anyone had any experience with Viibryd for OCD and has not had any sweating or sexual dysfunction? Another plus of zoloft is that it caused me to lose weight so I am also terrified as well as I don't want to put on weight. Many thanks for your experiences,
I can't supply you with any wisdom at this point, but I would be very interested to see how you react to Viibryd. I am guessing that it could possibly make OCD worse based upon its partial agonist actions on the 5-HT1a receptor. I would not recommend that you avoid Viibryd, though. There are so many complex interactions among components of the serotonergic circuitry, it is difficult to predict just what this drug will do to any given individual.I would go ahead and try Viibryd. What do you have to lose? You know, now that I think of it, I don't hear of people becoming tolerant to the therapeutic effects of SSRIs on OCD. You might not be risking your responding well to Zoloft if you need to return to it.
For what it is worth, I did not experience sexual side effects with Viibryd.
