Which opiate is she withdrawing from?

I matters obviously. Methadone withdrawal would benefit from a longer wait. As long as possible. It depends on the dose too. I mean, trying to move from methadone 30mg/d to suboxone is going to be different to if it was methadone 15mg/d.

Some people report an asthma like effect during the shift. I don't know how bad that can get.

The best way to handle opiate withdrawal is to (kind of ) welcome it, requiring a twist in something or other, it being so unpleasant and all.

And gabapentin, in my opinion, is worth a look at to help with the terrible restlessness.
