You can't be that rare of a patient. Antidepressants now have to carry scary warning labels about possible worsening of depression. "Mood-stabilizers" (at least the anticonvulsants) have warnings about increased suicide risk. Antipsychotics and lithium are notorious for causing drug-induced dysphoria. Benzos, of course, can cause or exacerbate depression.
I think maybe a lot of other patients don't complain (Dr.Peter Breggin has written about this) or maybe they get symptom relief that outweighs the side effects, or...the possibilities are endless.
You're not a freak, so don't worry.
