desoxyn vs dexedrine for narcolepsy and add

Posted by john blutarsky on June 4, 2011, at 19:01:59

hi, has anyone tried desoxyn vs dexedrine for obstructive sleep apnea induced narcolepsy and add? i just wanted to compared notes because i was prescribed 4 5mg of desoxyn per day which did next to nothing for me compared to the 6 10mg of dexedrine per day which really helps me keep awake throughout the day without having to worry about falling asleep at the wheel after a long commute each way or during a business meeting or at the desk a few hours after lunch. im now back to 4 15mg dexedrine XR spansules which seem to as effective as the 6 10 mg dexedrine fastacting tablets though ive had to take 3 spansules in the morning and 1 in the afternoon (biting down on it so that it is faster acting) to be as effective as 4 tablets in the morning and 2 in the afternoon spaced out over a few hours. with the desoxyn, i had to take 4 5mg tablets in the morning and 4 in the afternoon which was actually twice the dosage...aside from having to take so many tablets of the desoxyn, the one nice side effect was less muscle tightness in the neck and back. also taking abilify and lexapro in the evening along with metformin for my diabetes. also, i expect to be less hungry on these meds but thats not the case. anyone else have the same problem?

also, is there really a difference between the BARR spansules and GSK spansules? would appreciate any feedback on this as ive already switched from the fast acting tablets to the XR spansule generic.

ths!
