Risk of tardive dyskensia with risperidone 1mg/day

Posted by jono_in_adelaide on May 23, 2011, at 19:47:24

I suffer from the holy trinity of depression, anxiety and panic disorder.

I was taking Zoloft 100mg/day, Edronax 4mg bd and Xanax 1mg tid, but was still getting symptoms..... I recently added risperidone 1mg nocte and it has made a big difference, I feel better, and have also managed to drop the Xanax back to 1mg twice a day. So, my question is, what is the risk of tardive dyskensia with a low dose of risperidone taken at night over a longer timeframe, say 1-2 years? I assume it is lower than low dose phenothiazines or holoperidol, which themselves had a low risk at these doses, so I'm not particularly worried, just curious.
