I get that too, and increased anxiety. Stimulants used to be commonly prescribed in part to prevent that dip in mood.

Since Dexedrine probably isn't an option, all I can think of is slowly reducing your calorie intake so your body has time to adjust, instead of suddenly cutting down and sending your body into "where the hell is my food?" mode. I would think caffeine might help a bit, so maybe coffee with some sugar free creamer?
