I have taken trimipramine. It is definately the most sedating (on par with doxapin) TCA.

It induces a pretty good quality of sleep, but one is still pretty tired the next few days.

It still does feel like an antidepressant. There seems to be some dopaminergic effect. It seems to enhance pleasure (remember waking up in a more interesting world with more interest in things like movies).

IT might be hard to tollerate in high doses, but I can see it augmenting something like a SNRI (velnafaxine?) really well.

ITs a strange & somewhat dirty drug, but it has some of the TCA feel.
