You should probably study up on "serotonin syndrome". Mixing effexor and nardil is a rather significant no no. If you are brave enough to take the risk, you should at least be familiar with how the symptoms start and how they progress, so you can identify it early and get emergency treatment. We're not just talking dangerous here, we're talking death.

psychotropical.com has excellent info on serotonin syndrome

I know you said you were experienced and didn't want to hear about serotonin. Serotonin syndrome is unpredictable and can creep up suddenly after weeks, or can hit immediately. Experience has nothing to do with it. One can take a dangerous combo at some point in time and do fine with it, yet at another time do horrible.

Tramadol and Effexor might have some similarities but are by no means comparable. That is clearly obvious at websites where patients rate their meds.

If you are interersted in the opioid angle, something that is safe with nardil, you could maybe study up on LDN.

It would have been irresponsible to not mention it. For those who don't know about it, this is a good topic and location to educate.
