Unfortunately, I need lamotrigine in my treatment regime to help keep me from feeling my worst. It definitely possesses antidepressant properties. However, I am not sure it will work well as monotherapy. My doctor likes combining lamotrigine with Wellbutrin.
In my experience:
Clinically, Teva lamotrigine is not as effective as GSK Lamictal. Mylan lamotrigine totally sucks.
Go with Teva.
