I have psychotic depression and take parnate with perphenazine. I can't tolerate the AAP's - they make me gain weight like crazy. I take only 12 mg perphenazine and it seems to work without side effects. At one time, I was taking 36mg and had bad akathesia and my p-doc (who hadn't precribed that dose -- it had been raised in the hospital) was alarmed about the possibliity of TD, so cut me way back.
