That's really unfortunate, but...it does happen. The antidepressants really aren't for everyone.

Were you trying out the effexor for a psychiatric problem, or something else? I've heard that the old school tricyclics are good for migraines sometimes.
In the UK, they have a form of prochlorperazine approved for (very restricted) OTC use for severe headaches and nausea.
