Hey peanut, have you tried Requip/Repreve (ropinirole) instead of mirapex? Same or similar DA family. I was initially prescribed it for RLS but it blew my depression out of the water very unexpectedly. I hear you about side effects and meds in general. Good luck.
Unfortunately it made me vomit a lot, which I put up with because I was feeling so much better, but in the end that just wasn't an option anymore. One crappy side effect.
