I started on .5mg and I've been up to 4.5mg, which is the max dose. At 4.5mg it makes me starving so I want to eat everything in sight, so I've settled at a dose of 1.5mg even though I get some added benefit at 4.5mg. I had researched it and was going to suggest it to my doc and then it was also recommended by Stanford Bipolar Disorders Clinic when I went there. It helps a little with my depression, enough to keep taking it but not enough to make me able to work, etc. I mainly noticed it helping with motivation, anhedonia, and cognitive symptoms rather than the mood symptoms, but that may be because motivation, lack of pleasure, etc. were my major symptoms when I started it. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
