Thanks for the responses. I have been on Effexor for around 4 months with pretty good results, just very numbing. I have heard and read horror stories about coming off of Effexor. Since stopping Effexor I have been dizzy, pissy and pretty emotional, but all in all, not bad for what I expected. Not even almost in the same ballpark as stopping benzos.
Anyway, I considered discontinuation symptoms from Effexor as my possible problem but I have never had this type of reaction from stopping a med. This makes me think it is caused by the Tianeptine. There really is no way to tell whether it is the Stablon or Effexor discontinuation unless I stop the Stablon or wait out what I think is the Effexor. I do not want to stop the Stablon as I think it is working and will only get better. Side effects such as emotional numbing, sexual problems, weight issues never really bothered me as I thought feeling good way over trumped anything else I was experiencing. So after 10 years of numbing etc, it sure is nice to have those things back which I never even knew I was missing. I have put up with many side effects from different meds which never made me actually want to stop taking it. What I am experiencing now is very bothersome as I seriously itch all day, all over my body. It is constant. Feels like ants crawling everywhere. Along with this I have a sense of needing to move my legs and arms etc when I am sleeping or trying to sleep. I am going through a time where I sleep for 40 minutes and then have to get up and walk because of the itchy sensation and all the energy. I have severe heart burn also which doesnt seem like a discontinuation symptom. I also had that when I took Paxil for 10 years.

Anyway, not really sure which way to go from here. Kinda want to tough it out and see if it will go away. Again, thanks for the opinions, it is nice to hear from people who actually experience first hand this type of stuff. Also gives me questions that I can bring up with my Doctor.
