I've tried pristiq, I think it would be a good drug if I needed a lot more serotonin. The worst side effect I think was joint pain, so if you had that with effexor, you will probably have it with pristiq.

Pristiq is just the metabolite of effexor. Effexor turns into pristiq in your body so the effects will be similar. Some people say its better though, some say worse, trial and error unfortunately.

Milnacipran is a more evenly balanced SNRI, it increase serotonin and norepinephrine equally. This could be better or worse depending on what your body needs. I haven't taken milnacipran.


Post-SSRI syndrome: iatrogenic anhedonia, memory and concentration problems, sexual dysfunction. [NOTE no sadness or anxiety]

Currently taking 25mg Lamictal.
