A few months ago I did discontinue clonazepam in one month with the help of Lyrica 450mg/day. I was off clonazepam two weeks but the symptoms for which I once started to take clonazepam where still there, so now I'm back on it. But it feels good to know I can stop in a relatively short period of time if I want to. When I restarted clon I stopped Lyrica in one week with ease.
Some moments were tough and the anxiolytic effect of Lyrica decreased pretty quickly after each dose increase. If I was to do it again I would start Lyrica one week after starting tapering clonazepam, it's not really needed before. I tapered with a rate of 0.25mg every 3-4 day.
