Keeping in mind that the rate-a-med forums are somewhat biased in who goes to those places to write about their med experiences, tramadol happens to be one the three highest rated meds for depression. The others are parnate and nardil. Tramadol literally blows the other ADs in the weeds. Longtime treatment resistant patients discovered it by accident when they started it as a post-op pain med.

Maybe its because I got a generic version and its old, but that stuff made me feel horrible. Gosh, that was a bad two days waiting for it to wear off. Thankfully my experience is uncommon. Most people seem to love tramadol for depression.

And if you have pain, which I think you do (?) you have every right to be talking to your doctor about taking it. Kill two birds with one stone. Doctors seem to hand it out like candy almost as bad as antipsychotics, so it shouldn't be hard to get.
