Well a friend had xyrem,and i dont know how,but they took something out of it,xyrem to me felt nothing like any ghb ive used both liquid and powder.
To answer your quest which im guessing u know lol,the only legal substitute for ghb or id say even possable alternative is l-phenibutt,but something gives me the feeling u know this already,when i learned on ghb my post handle was brklyn234
