For many patiens, absolutely yes.

If one of the side effects you get is akathisia?

Very very rare with atypicals. Wouldn't even worry about this.

This would seem counterproductive to treating an anxiety disorder.

That's true, but even some Atypicals are very good for anxiety problems.

I recently upped my Geodon to 100 mg and feel incredibly restless.

This might indeed pass (I would hope)
