I had the same experience with Zeldox, when it just came out...and it was like nobody knew about the drug. Even 4-5 months after it's release here in Canada. I live down in the Niagara region.
But, when Cymbalta was released here, my doc had samples within a few weeks of it's release! I hope they approve Abilify here (like in the U.S.) for use as an add-on for depression. I think that would make the drug much more popular.
I asked my pharmacist a few days ago if she knew anything about Abilify, and she had no clue. I imagine a Shopper's Drug Mart might be a better chance to try. The thing about all of these new drugs, is that they are not on the Trillium formulary (Trillium is a program here in Ontario that provides drug coverage for people in lower or modest incomes.) But, I think we are kind of lucky here in Canada, in that Rx drugs aren't near the price they are in the States. Still, they are pricey. A 30 day supply of generic 10mg Zyprexa is just over 300 dollars.
