There is SO much stigma and myths about people on welfare, as is ironic that I once was a welfare agent, and then on the other side as a 'client'.
Please don't beat yourself up over it. I've seen so many, many people of all walks of life, from former CEO's to wonderful Mom's who get kicked around by abusive husbands. And some/many of these people also had a mental illness. Having a basic, decent living is *right*, as far as I am concerned, and Canada, being the 'so-called' progressive country, once did care about it's sick and poor people.I do hope the best for you with your new med. It's too easy for me to just say 'hold on', but I feel very deep empathy for you, and all of us going through living Hell. We all do really need each other...as much as society and the world try to tell us otherwise.
