Nardil Medic Medical Alert Necklace

Posted by pedr on July 22, 2009, at 13:23:27

Hi all,
I just started on Nardil for chronic atypical depression. I have read various posts saying that certain anaesthetics and painkillers (and adrenalin?) cannot be taken with an MAOI or should be administered in a much reduced dose.

This makes me worry that in an emergency I might get killed/coma'd/stroke'd by the EMT (well sometimes getting killed worries me, sometimes it seems a good thing but that's a different story).

So the medical ID jewellery allows lines of text to be inscribed. I was thinking of:
JOHN
DOE
MEDS: MAOI

Should I put an 'allergic to anaesthetic' line or similar? Or might that confuse the issue? Should anything else be on there?
Cheers,
Pete
