My experiences with oxytocin nasal spray were exactly as this article predicted - no effect. Because, according to this article people with social phobia have perpetually high levels of oxytocin, but a problem with the releasing mechanism and receptors. Therefore just flooding the brain with xtra oxytocin won't help.
