I don't know what's wrong with me but I have failed to gain weight on 45mgs of remeron and 300mgs of seroquel. I am in pretty lousy shape right now after 6 months in bed with depression but I have been back on the treadmill regularly. Once you get in the habit (habit formation takes 21 days of consecutive practive according to cognative psychologists,) it makes a difference in your mood and your metabolism. The other thing which I have so far failed to get back in the habit of is weight lifting. Muscle is the only fiber in the body that burns calories at rest. The more muscle mass you have, the highter your resting metabolic rate. If you can drag yourself to a gym and get a simple, comprehensive program set up, you will see a big difference in your body. And I find it very meditative since you count reps, breath out with the exertion, inhale as you return to the start position... I could go on.
I' m not sure about Geodon, but there is little doubt that Seroquel causes type 2 diabeties. I think there is good reason to suspect the Geodon. Check out www.askapatient.com. Leans to the negative but some useful info.
Good luck.
