Great news - sounds like you'll be able to try some real cutting-edge treatments.

The junior pdoc I see is Indian too, and I know what you mean. Unfortunately he seems to be at a really early stage in his training as he doesn't know a great deal, but his personable and amenable manner goes a long way to compensate. He's a great listener and very considerate. My main family doctor is a British-born Gujarati and he has an excellent manner too.
Indian and Pakistani doctors and nurses have long been the backbone of the British health service, not to mention the huge number of British-born South Asians who also fill those roles. Supposedly Britain's membership of the EU has meant many doctors from Britain's former colonies missing out on internships in favour of graduates from mainland Europe - great shame if that's true.
