Q. Tricyclic effect on my heart

Posted by mav27 on March 2, 2009, at 10:02:59

Was just wondering about something, and hopfully someone here may know about. I'm on imipramine, my normal blood pressure is 140/99 with a pulse of around 85bpm. So anyway now that im on imipramine my laying pressure is 160/100 but with a pulse of 52bpm. Now when i stand up my pressure drops to around 85/45 with a pulse of 132bpm. Now what i'm wondering is... when layng down is the strain on my heart going to be somewhat equal to the strain on it when standing because when standing it is beating faster but with less pressure where as laying down the pressure is high but is pumping less often.
