Forgot the word "effective".

"What drugs have you had some sort of positive response to in the past? Sometimes it is as simple as combining partially effective drugs to produce a full remission."

A good friend of mine was smart enough to do this. She had partial responses to Effexor and Wellbutrin given as monotherapy. She described Wellbutrin as giving her more energy, and Effexor as giving her the "wanna do's". In her mind, she superimposed the feelings that the two drugs produced separately and asked the doctor to be placed on both in combination. Bingo.

She has since tweaked her regime by swapping Effexor for Lexapro and adding Geodon. Geodon can be energizing.
