Same thing with me as I am dealing with both Narcolepsy and ADD. For me, depakote seemed to help enhance the effect of Adderall by stabilizing the "high" it gives you as depakote helps me with social anxiety. However, I get the "poop-out" effect on Adderall after 2-hours or so. Heck I can even fall a sleep on it. It seems to me that stimulants work best when you are working at a demanding task, then sitting at home thinking about stimulants (not saying you do that, just for me). I feel my concerta wear off a lot faster if I am just sitting at home with no agenda (the boredom syndrome lol) whereas the Concerta "seems" to last all day when I am working or have a lot of appt's, school, etc. Also I believe some of us do in fact need higher doses of stimulants than doctors are willing to prescribe due to higher metabolisms or rather poor absorption some people have.
