Hi Kim,
Tianeptine definately worked for my depression. But the downside was I got extreme anxiety.
I'm not sure how Tianeptine works, but I'm guessing it upregulates serotonine and thus has a by effect on dopamine, which it increases also.
After about 4 weeks use, it made me extremely scared. Also got a little weight gain.
I always seem to get adverse effects whilst on SSRI's... so after many trials and errors I'm keeping well away from them. Ofcourse you may not get these effects. I hope it works for you.
My best!
Maria> Getting ready to try Stablon after terrible experience with a few different SSRI's. Does anyone have experience with this medicine ? If so, can you explain how it works. If it enhaces the reuptake of Serotonin, doesn't that mean there is less in the synaptic cleft ? Everything I've read is that the action is outside of the cell. If Stablon enables more Serotonin into the cell, than how does it work?

I just stopped Paxil 4 days ago and having terrible withdrawal (brain zaps, nausea, etc.). I'm going to wait a few days before starting the Stablon.
