It is not a good idea to be taking alcohol with stacking things that are CNS depressants, and that is probably why you are feeling nauseated.

You could also be allergic to the sulfur dioxide that is placed or is natural in a lot of red wines, but if you've drank it before I assume you know that.

But it is definitely not a good idea to take alcohol with Benadryl. And I forget if Risperdal potentiates things too.

If you're going to have a little glass of wine, don't take it at the same time as your medications -- have it much earlier in the evening.

If you're a female, I'm not sure, I forget, of course alcohol is more potentiating.

Of course this could be a red herring -- not to say the above isn't still true, the burger might have been a bit off.

And as for the effects of red wine -- its may be the reservatrol in it, but its probably the antioxidants -- which are in grapes. So have grape juice, or any of the recent and past promoted antioxidants, acai, pomegranate, blueberries, etc.

And also its really any form of alcohol (modest) that might "promote" health benefits, not really just red wine -- but as they say, all in moderation, especially in this light.

-- best wishes
