The deal with mirtazapine is even low doses pretty much saturate your histamine receptors. Then as you increase the dose, the drug has more effect on noradrenaline.

Antihistamines mess up metabolism and cause weight (fat)gain in the long term. MIrtazapine is a unique drug but i do not like antihistamines for sleep if you can find something else that works.
