I still notice a little tolerance, although very very little after I added the 10mg evening dose of memantine. Taking one day weekly off works well.

I think actually that these are actually less of a problem with nucleus accumbens dopamine release apparently preserved, than they would be without the memantine, but I am considering adding adjunct guanfacine or ... daily low-dose LSD to see if either assists with this.
Thanks for post.I was looking for such a discussion.
I'm going to my Psychiatrist soon & tell him, again, about the combo.
I am currently on my 9the week of Parnate, currently at 70 mgs./day, w/ no response.
I have tried many different medications over the years.
I was on every form of extended form methylphenidate.
I've never tried instant relief form, as it is probably best I didn't, hearing about the quick feeling & ceasing of symptom relief.
It was the only med., ever, that helped me.
After 2 weeks of the best symptom relief, @ 30 mg./day, & eventually 60 mgs/day, Daytrana's positive effects slowly diminished over the next weeks.
Starting & stopping Daytrana about 5 times, & always experiencing tolerance around the same time.
Eventually trying Concerta, starting at 36 mgs./day & tapering as needed to up to around 108 mgs./day (I think my Dr. may have mistakenly wrote that one prescription dosage so high, as he only prescribed around 20 mgs. Vyvanse, Focalin & Metadate, & with which I had not even near the response of Daytrana.
Adderall XR I found not useful - although my dose may have been too low.
When my Dr. prescribes any of these medications, he always doses low, especially for me, even though I have a huge tolerance for medications & have only responded to stimulants.
I just wish I could find a medical journal to show him about the combo of Memantine & stimulant.
Even though he doesn't really listen to me when I've spoken about materials I bring w/ me to my consultation to him, to possibly help me(As he has stated we are running out of options).
He is very by-the-so-called "results".
I would like to try Memantine, along w/ possibly trying Methylphenidate again or Dexedrine (if I found tolerance also developed).
Daytrana was the best I felt in years, able to work & not be depressed.
The patches are really tough while working, etc. though.
How did you go about talking to your Dr. about the combo.?
The did you mean LSD the psychedelic?
Continued Luck.
Thank You For Your Time & Consideration,
Take Care & Be Well,
Eric M. Wagner
