Botox is injected into a nerve to paralyze it, and preventing the "frowning" response to something that it would normally trigger. So it is not just injected under the skin to puff it out, that is something differeent like Collagen used to fill in wrinkles or scars.
Botox is probably similar to using novocaine in a nerve in your mouth during a dental procedure.
You're supposed to tell your dentist that you are on a MAO.Many docs are clueless with meds other than the ones they use in their practice.
I thought I just heard something about Botox and whether it can travel to other locations in the body. Just heard it the other night, you may want to research that too.
