Be very careful about long term use of Soma. Its why I was put on its admittedly poor relative Robaxin. Either will habituate, but Soma can in some people fast. Yes, I have tried Soma once from an older prescription and it evened out my muscle spasm problems like nothing under the sun.

But it is also quickly converted to meprobamate, Miltown, an old and discontinued attempt at a non barbiturate/non-Quaalude anxiolytic.

It is still not a controlled substance in the US, but there are watching eyes on it -- personally, under the care of a watching doctor, that's fine, as long as there isn't other CNS depressants like any substantial amount of benzodiazepines. Some states would like to make it C-V or C-IV.
