Trazodone is an "atypical antidepressant".
Brand name in the UK: Molipaxin.This drug is definitely a very good sleep aid.
But it might "knock you out cold".I have unfortunately no knowledge which drug you need for your "cyclothymic disorder".
My problem is that I can't sleep without medicine.
I have tried a lot of drugs, but for most of the time I have been on Elavil.Elavil gives me a good night's sleep, but it's a dirty drug.
So I have been on the lookout for another drug as a sleep aid for many years.Mirtazapine, Trazodone or a low dose of Seroquel are options which I will discuss with my psychiatrist on my next visit.
