Hiya,

we don't have much in common except to say that I used Celexa for about 3 years as an effective AD. I started on 20mg but after 2 years it didn't seem to be working any more. So the doc bumped it up to 40 then 60 then 80mg. I was busy at work & it took me a while to realise that it had really pooped out on me. Now, I've only just now considered that the pooping out may be the reason it was very easy to withdraw from. I just cut it by 20mg each week & in a month I was off it completely. I did feel very depressed but I thought it was rebound effect. It may have been that too but mainly I just needed a new AD. Hence after a few trials I ended up on Effexor & Remeron that have really helped.

How does this help you? Well, I just wanted you to know that it is possible to quit Celexa fairly abruptly and survive. I keep hearing nightmare stories about my brew, so I think my Celexa experience was pretty mild in comparison for what I might be up for one day.

Re the klonopin - I take 0.5mg at night to help suppress my hyperventilation after the apnoeas. I do recall being groggy the next day because of it it at first but it definitely went away within a couple of weeks.

Re the lack of energy to wake up, have you tried modafinil? I'm the new poster boy for it this week. It's a lot smoother than the Ritalin which I am fond of saying I detest.

Best of luck....

M.
