started elavil

im taking elavil for chronic anxiety, panic and sleep problems (insomnia).
i started on 25mg. i slept like a rock and felt no hang-over. cant feel anything, in the sense that i dont know if i slept well from elavil. how soon should i go up on it? my doc scripted me for 25 mg and made an appt. in 3 weeks. i dont want to wait 3 weeks to go up a dose. how soon should i ask for more assuming i still feel like i cant "feel" the elavil?
