I am in my 3rd week on Lamictal. I am taking 100mg a day at this point. I am having serious side effects or at least what I think are side effects. About 2 hours after I take the Lamictal I begin to feel full of rage...furious. I have consistently noted this for the past 2 weeks. About 6 hours into the dose I begin to calm down and can tolerate being around other people, but I still feel like my anger/explosive level can go from 0 to 100 in a second. I'm normally pretty patient but not since starting Lamictal. I am bipolar (not sure of the type) and depressive. I have a 4 and 5 year old who are the joy of my life and I don't want them to experience an angry mother, but this anger comes out of no where with no warning. I seem to be having more migraines than normal and pretty much keep a dull headache. Any input on whether anyone has had these issues on Lamictal or not, and if so do they go away once on 200mg/the full dose? What are you seeing with Lamictal in terms of benefits? Thanks so much :)
