Yeah exact same thing here... when it worked it was like a switch being thrown one day.. there's no way you won't know when it happens.
Wish my BP was as good as yours though, off nardil it's 140/100 but on nardil its 70/40... spend more time fainting than being able to do anything else.

> Hi,
> One thing about Nardil, if it works for you, you will know it. For me it was like flipping a light switch. One day I felt terrible, the next day was like a huge load had been lifted. Like a lot of people I had some hypomania bordering on euphoria at first. After being depressed for so long this really felt good. It is not the true antidepressant affect of Nardil. It is one of the side effects that goes away fairly quickly. When I first took Nardil, about 11 years ago, it to several weeks after reaching 75mg before it worked.
>
> I also take clonazepam to augment Nardil for social anxiety. This combination has been the best for me. Both medications affect GABA. I have had social anxiety for 40 years, I wish I would have taken something much earlier for it. I believe my life would be much different.
>
> I have some short term memory problems, or it is more word finding problems. You know when the word is on the tip of your toung, and you just can't get it out. I don't know whether to blame the Nardil, clonazepam or Seroquel for this. I take 25mg of Seroquel for sleep and it works great for the Nardil induced insomnia.
>
> I am probably a lifer on Nardil. it also lowers my borderline high hypertension. Without the med my BP runs abot 145/85. With Nardil my bBP runs about 130/70. I have come off of the medicqtion 4 times in 11 years. Each time has resulted in the return of major depression. Nothing worse than enduring major depression.
