Lyrica is sedating at low dose but activating at higher dose (300 mg x 2 per day .. and higher). Some people go as far a 1200 mg per day, but it could be too much activating for bipolar people. You could try that.

Btw, I'm supposedly Bipolar 2 and I'm having neuropathic pain in the face. I'm taking low dose Clonazepam (Rivotril) and low dose Lamotrigine (Lamictal). My dose of Lyrica is 300mg at night and 150mg in the morning.
