Hi Bonni,

If you are trying to stop taking Lexapro, you might want to slow down your taper as 50% may be too fast for you. One recommendation I have read is to do 10% of the current dose.

Of course, that can be impossible in many situations and you have to get really creative.

Doex Lexapro come in liquid form as many SSRIs do? It might be easier to taper more slowly. Of course, check with the pharmacist to make sure you take the right amount of liquid med as it might not be a straight conversion.

PS - I am not a medical professional but am speaking solely from experience. In talking to other people withdrawing from meds like me, most physicians advocate a way too fast tapering program. I am not claiming that as a fact but am simply speaking about my experiences. As always, check with your doctor.
